Folks,
When we changed our name to Haiti Reforestation Partnership three years ago, we wanted our name to speak to:
our mission of reforestation
our core principle of partnership that was reflected mostly by our relationship with CODEP, the group of rural people in Haiti working to reclaim their mountainsides.
Recently we have linked arms with two new partners to advance reforestation. These projects (see below) are force multipliers. They also demonstrate how CODEP folks are influencers.
Let us all be influenced by these valiant people of Haiti.

Executive Director
Two Mules is an organization that supports community-based initiatives for education, heath care, and farming in rural Haiti. Some of their Board members visited us in 2018 to learn of ways to work together. Now they are asking for a letter of support for a grant to develop a reforestation program in L’Acul. We are ever so happy to help a partner!
Zanmi Fondwa builds homes in the Fondwa Valley and is in the process of purchasing 6000 seedlings from CODEP to be planted around those homes and on a piece of land recently donated to them. This transaction is a boost to CODEP’s efforts at building small businesses and a mighty boost to the notion that reforestation done well can launch a reforestation culture as people see our success and want to build on it.
