Dear HRP Supporter,
As the year draws to a close, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your care and steadfast support of our Haitian colleagues. While the news from Haiti continues to be challenging, there remains a beacon of hope: our CODEP partners are tirelessly planting trees and developing sustainable agroforestry systems to nurture the land and its people. Despite the turmoil, including gang violence and disruptions to roadways and food deliveries, our CODEP colleagues “up the mountains” persist in their vital work. Few have left the country, demonstrating incredible resilience in the face of adversity.
In response to the growing food insecurity, your HRP Board is committed to enhancing the “agro” component of our agroforestry mission. Plans are underway to expand vegetable gardens across the 43 CODEP communities, bringing much-needed sustenance and hope to families facing hunger.
This is where you can make a profound difference. If you haven’t yet made a financial contribution this year, we warmly invite you to do so. Your donation directly supports the expansion of agroforestry projects, empowering Haitian communities to thrive amid hardship.
Making a donation is simple. You can give online at www.haitireforest.org, or, if you prefer, mail a check to Haiti Reforestation Partnership, P.O. Box 7116, Charlottesville, VA 22906.
Your generosity fuels this mission of reforestation and renewal. Together, we can help plant seeds of hope and sustainability for generations to come. Wishing you and your loved ones peace, joy, and hope in the New Year.
With gratitude,
Michael Anello, Executive Director
Bill Hathaway, Board Chairperson
