Dear friends,

Hurricane Melissa has swept through Haiti and left deep scars behind. The Léogâne region, where our CODEP community lives and works, has been especially hard hit.

* Flooded gardens
* Fruit trees uprooted
* Blossoms for the spring harvest torn away
* Livelihoods shaken

As of this morning, our partners are still on the ground assessing the damage. I have already talked with Jameson, one of CODEP’s leaders, who is walking through the hillside plots to understand what has been lost. We are sharing pictures — and the situation is already clear: this is a setback Haiti cannot afford alone.

Even before the storm, food insecurity was growing. Our community gardens were helping — giving families access to vegetables they could not otherwise afford. Our fruit trees — mango, breadfruit, citrus — are more than greenery. They’re income, nutrition, and hope.

Today, much of that has been washed away.

But there is something you can do right now.

A $10,000 MATCHING GRANT IS IN PLACE.

Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, every gift given today will be doubled — up to $10,000 — to support relief and restoration efforts in the CODEP region.

That means:

Seeds can be purchased.

Gardens can be replanted.

Fruit trees can be nurtured back.

Families can receive immediate support.

We know Haiti faces long-standing challenges. But moments like this are when the strength of our partnerships matters most. We can’t control the storm. But we can help shape what comes next.

Please consider making a gift — right now — while the match is in place.
Your donation will go directly to relief and rebuilding efforts in the affected communities.

Give Now — Double Your Impact
