Folks,

Something special has been happening here in the United States regarding our work in Haiti. For years – decades – we have been mostly known and supported by people along the mid-Atlantic. Our original connections were in congregations along the Eastern seaboard.

Now, however, a broader audience is forming. Before I went on vacation, I went to Houston! Melanie Musgrove, one of our Board Members, recently moved there and is building connections for us there. I flew down and spoke to a chapter of the PEO Sisterhood. They were a great audience full of questions and interested in funding another Haitian student in college.

I also spoke at the First Presbyterian Church of Houston where the service was filled with rejoicing and singing! Our CODEP people would have been delighted. It was the warmest of receptions! And you can only imagine how our Haitian friends would enjoy seeing that painted steer outside the church!

We look for a day when people across the entire United States know about our work.
